The Grand Artisr model Martin’s most recent body shape addition has more midrange emphasis than in it’s sister dreadnought model reviewed separately. Your email address will not be published. Sound; Playability; and Value for Money As is custom on sixstringacoustic. However, times change, sometimes for good or worse, but this time it certainly is for the good of us all.

Thanks for your message. Serie will certainly feel right at home with this mighty gitbox in your hands. A ton of very good information for the shopper and beginner guitarist. The action felt nice to me. The bridge is made from something called Black Richlite. There will be more emphasis on the mid-range and more subtle in the bass and treble. And finally I will conclude with my opinion on who this guitar is best suited to and how it compared to others in the same price range.
The guitar packs a Fishman F1 Analog electronics system — ensuring studio sound quality, deeply enhancing your tones on stage performances. Sitka Spruce will provide a brighter tone with more clairty in the bass and the perofrming. The nut is fairly wide at The Grand Performance body enables a vast stage presence through its big and chunky sreies — seeking attention and deservedly getting it, while the electronics packed inside naturally enhance it.
Words can only reassure you of their expertise, while the sound is the main culprit responsible for writing the headlines. Generations of new players, however, couldn’t care less about all that and it’s to them that this guitar will appeal.
Of course it will always sound a bit different in real life but this should give you some idea to see if the sound is for you. Not as boomy or loud as the dreadnought so for those who prefer a less boomy bass-heavy sound then this might be for you. Thanks again for your articles. However it does strive towards midrange-y tones much more. GP is ‘Grand Performance’, Martin’s new, Taylor-like body shape; C means ‘cutaway’; PA means ‘Performing Artist’ series; 5 means the fifth tier 1 being the highest, most expensive ; and, finally, K means koa back and sides.
