After announcing the acquisition of our first feature film script at an event sponsored by the London Eye, Fortune Cookies gained the support of Elstree Studios. Our reepscape business Northamptonshire-based Reelscape Films is committed to maximising the impact of our work wherever possible, from our profits and audience to our social impact. Young people from Northampton worked with Fortune Cookies staff to design and build the main living room set for the avams, which is currently on display in the retail unit, rehearse with actors Fiona Rene and Daniel York, as well as undertaking other design and production work, funded by the Big Lottery Fund amongst others, to build young people’s skills in a workplace environment.

In the future we aim to work with young necky and communities on projects with a similar link to a commercial feature film and also to produce professional feature films intended for theatrical distribution with groups of young people from the very beginning including adaptations of children’s novels where all of the profits go back into funding similar projects, producing a sustainable model for feature film production and for these educational initiatives.
